I’m single, gay, and Mormon.  For the first time in my life, I’ve finally accepted that the life I always thought I was going to live as a Mormon man just isn’t going to happen.  I’ve been floating along in the Mormon world for too many years.  I’m happy with my professional life,  but my social life needs some serious work.

My world changed in the summer of 2013 when I stumbled across Mormon Stories podcasts and an online world of gay Mormon blogs.  It gave me some courage to accept my homosexuality and find some happiness, most likely outside of the church.  I decided to blog not because I think my story is unique, but to add another voice.

  1. I like your point about not necessarily having a unique story but rather wanting to add another voice. I find that we are sometimes the unique story in our sphere of influence, and others don’t face the matter until they know someone in their sphere. Best wishes!
